Volunteer Opportunities

THANK YOU for your interest in volunteering!

WOM depends on the regular help of many, many volunteers who donate their time and energy to helping in classrooms, developing our outdoor space, raising much-needed funds, and working behind the scenes on policy issues.

Please see below for all the ways we can use your help.

Classroom & Campus Volunteering

Teachers rely on classroom volunteers to help out during lunch, recess, and enrichment activities so they can take much-needed lunch breaks and have time to plan with their co-workers. We also need help transporting and chaperoning students for field trips. At-home volunteering tasks include washing classroom rags or rugs or cutting classroom materials. Please note that classroom and field trip volunteers will all be asked to submit information for a background check (start the process below by completing the Volunteer Profile Form).

Other campus-wide volunteer roles might include adopting a raised bed garden, the entrance sign garden, or the flower pots out front or taking unclaimed lost & found items to the PTA Thrift Store on a monthly basis. Please email info@willowoakmontessori.org if you are interested in one of these tasks.

Please reach out to Classroom teacher about non-classroom related volunteering such as rag/rug washing, getting library books, classroom communications (ie, Room Parent), organizing or setting up teacher lunches, or laminating/cutting help.

Board Committees

Board Committees are where much of the strategic work happens to guide our school’s direction, policies, and community partnerships. If you're interested in getting more involved and making a meaningful impact, apply here: WOM Committee Interest Form
